How do I get started with designing products?
- To create a new design click on the 'Create' button on a Photos or Designs page.
- Select the product which you wish to put your design on.
- You will be redirected to itasveer's design interface, called the Doodlepad, where you can start designing your product.
- If you click on an existing design you will be shown a Preview page with your design on the product you have selected. To modify the design click on the 'Customise it' button.
What is the Doodlepad and how do I use it?
Doodlepad is the cool new design interface at itasveer. You can use the Doodlepad to create designs and put them on T-Shirts, Mugs and other products.
Below is a snapshot of the Doodlepad.
Roll your mouse over different areas of the image to see what each part does.
You can also view this section of the FAQ in a separate window.
This is the "Properties" area. This changes according to the object selected on the canvas.
Layering Controls
These buttons control the layering of objects on the canvas.
For example, if you have two images overlapping each other, you can select which one should be on top.

This is the Doodlepad Canvas. This is where all the action happens!
- Drag and drop objects to the canvas from the Panels on the right to add them to your design.
- Whatever object you select on the canvas will have resize and rotate handles. Some example objects are shown below.

- Use the handles as shown to resize and rotate images. In the case of text the right handle can be used to change the size of the text box while keeping the text size constant.
- Backgrounds and Frames cannot be selected or resized.
- The Properties ribbon on the top changes to reflect the properties of the selected object.
This is the "Photos" panel. All the images you add will be stored here. To add more images to the panel click on the 'Add Photos' button as shown in the image below.
This would open a window from where you can upload new images or select photos from your itasveer account if you are logged in.
This is the "Texts" panel. Use this Panel to add Text to your design.
You can add 'Artistic Text' which is ready-to-use text with Greetings and Sayings like 'Happy Valentine's Day' etc.

This is the "Props" panel. Use this Panel to add Backgrounds and Frames to the canvas.
Use the drop down menus at the top of the panel to choose between Backgrounds and Frames and switch categories as shown in the image below.

This is the "Clipart" panel. Here you can add premade clipart to jazz up your designs. There are tons to choose from sorted by categories which you can change from the drop down menu inside the panel. Almost all of them are vector designs so you can resize them without any pixellation.

Product Selector
Select the product you wish to create from your design from this drop down menu.
The dimensions of the canvas are determined by the product you have selected to create.

Product Face
This area denotes which part of a product you are designing on, such as the front and back of a T-Shirt.

Preview
Toggle between the Edit View and Preview using this control. Preview shows you a representative view of how your design will appear on the product.

Save and Order
Use the 'Save' button to Save your work and 'Order' to add your designed products to the Shopping Cart. Name of the current design being edited is also shown.
'New' starts a new project. Using 'Save As' you can create a copy of your design without affecting the original.

Contextual Help
The contextual help area gives you relevant help whenever you roll over any area of the Doodlepad while designing.

Keyboard Shortcuts: Arrow Keys: Move objects on the canvas, Delete Key: Delete the selected object.
How do I add Images to my design?
- To add images while you are creating or editing a design on the Doodlepad, click on 'Add Photos' in The Photos panel. This will open a popup window from where you can either select photos from your existing albums on itasveer or upload new photos to add to Doodlepad.
- Uploaded photos are stored in your account.
- If you select some photos before clicking on the 'Create' button on your Photos page, those images will be automatically added to the Photos panel on the Doodlepad.
How do I add Text to my design?
- You can add two kinds of text to your design - Editable Text and Preformatted Text. Preformatted text contains ready to use phrases such as 'Happy Birthday', 'Happy New Year' etc. to use on your design. Editable text can be used to enter whatever you want.
- To use either select the relevant subcategory from the Text panel and drag and drop it on to the canvas.
- In the case of Editable text, you can either add plain text or add a speech bubble.
- Right click the text box to edit it.
- You can specify Font, Font size and other properties from the Text Properties ribbon shown above the Canvas when a text object is selected.
- To change the size of the text box drag the handles around a selected object.
How can I save a design I have created?
Click on the Save button on the top of the Doodlepad to Save your project. You will be asked to enter a name following which your product will be saved.
How do I order a designed product?
- To order a designed product click on the 'Order' button at the top of the Doodlepad. This saves your design and then a preview of your product is shown.
- Click on Add to Cart to add the product to the cart.
- Alternately, after your project is saved, click on 'Proceed' in the alert window.
Can I share a design with my friends?
- Once you have finished making a design, click on 'Save'. After you designed is saved, click on 'Proceed' from the pop-up window
- You will be shown a preview of your product. Click on 'Share This' link on the side.
- On the following page, enter your friends' email address and click on 'Submit'. Your friends will be emailed a link to your design from where they can view it and order it.
