What are personal web pages for photo sharing?

itasveer lets you create a personal web page for sharing your photos. This means that you can specify a unique web address for your 'Shared Page' which can be accessed like any other website. This would be of the form 'www.itasveer.com/shared/yourpage' (Example) .
All 'Shared Page' web addresses at itasveer start with www.itasveer.com/shared/. You must specify a unique name for your shared page. So, for example, if you enter 'demo' in your shared page settings, your shared page web address will be 'www.itasveer.com/shared/demo'.

How do I share my photos?

Follow these steps to share your photos.

  1. Select the albums or photos you want to share by ticking the corresponding check boxes. To select or deselect all photos tick or untick the check box next to 'Select All' in the action toolbar.
  2. Click on the button.
  3. If you are sharing photos for the first time, you will be directed to your Shared Page Settings page, where you must at least specify your desired Shared Page web address. Other settings are discussed later in section. Enter a shared page url and click on 'Submit'.
  4. You will be redirected to your 'Photos' page where the shared photos will be marked by the shared icon . An album is marked with the shared icon if one or more photos are shared within that album.
  5. The marked photos are now shared and can be accessed by your friends and family by going to your Shared Page web address.

How can I limit access to my Shared Page?

You can make you shared page private by specifying an access password to your shared page.

  1. Go to your Shared Settings page by clicking on Account --> Shared Page Settings.
  2. Select the 'Password protect my shared page' option and enter the access password. Please note that this is different from your login password used during
    registration with itasveer. You can change this anytime by from your shared page settings.
  3. Now any visitor to your Shared Page must provide the access password before viewing your photos.

What does the 'Enable print ordering from my Shared Page' option do?

By enabling this option, you can allow viewers to order prints of shared photos from your shared page. This would have no effect on your own orders - any viewer will be independently able to order prints of those photos. You can discontinue this anytime by deselecting this option from your shared page settings.

How do I access my Shared Page settings?

You can access your Shared Page setting from going to your Account page.

  1. Login to your itasveer account by using the E-mail address and Password specified during your registration.
  2. Click on the 'Account' link in the navigation bar at the top right corner.
  3. Click on 'Shared Page Settings' to access your settings page and modify them as desired.

How do I unshare my photos?

  1. Select the albums or photos you want to share by ticking the corresponding check boxes. To select or deselect all photos tick or untick the check box next to 'Select All' in the action toolbar.
  2. Click on the Unshare icon in the Action Toolbar. This is the Unshare icon.
  3. Selected photos will be unshared.

How do I or anyone else access my Shared Page?

  1. Your Shared Page can be accessed like any other website by entering the url you have specified in a web browser.
  2. If an access password has been specified, it must be entered before the page is displayed.
  3. When you are accessing your shared page while you are logged in, either by clicking on 'Shared' in the navigation bar or by typing the url in a web browser, it appears different, as more controls are available to you (such as the logged in navigation bar and the action toolbar).

How do I use the Advanced Sharing feature?

Using the Advanced Sharing feature, you can create multiple personal web addresses (URLs) giving you control over who sees what on your shared pages. To start using Advanced Sharing, you first need create a base URL (of the form www.itasveer.com/shared/username) and share some albums. Following this, go to the Advanced Sharing link either from the Goto section in the sidebar, or from My Accounts --> Shared Settings
To create a sub-URL you need to do the following

  1. Give a name for your sub-URL (of the form www.itasveer.com/shared/username/suburl)
  2. From all your shared albums, select the albums you want to be shared on this sub-URL by checking the corresponding boxes. You can select any combination of albums.
  3. Set access permissions if needed such as print ordering and a password.
  4. Click on the Save button.

Your new shared sub-URL is shown under the heading 'My Shared Pages'.
