Upload Photos

What is uploading?

Uploading is the process by which photos from your computer are transferred over the internet for storage on itasveer.com. Click on any 'Upload' link on itasveer to start uploading your photos.

Where to begin once I have created an account?

You start by uploading photos into an album. Once you have created an account you will be taken to the 'Welcome' screen. Here you can click on the relevant link and reach the upload page. Alternatively, you can click on the button on your 'Photos' page.

How do I upload photos?

You have the choice of either uploading upto five images from the Single Image Upload page, or use the Batch Uploader to upload multiple photos (see "How can I upload more than five photos at a time?").

  1. Specify a new or existing album for uploading photos. By default, your photos will be uploaded to an album called 'New Album'.
  2. If you are using the Single Image Upload, click on the 'Browse' button next to the file fields and select a photo you want to upload. Do this for the other fields until you have selected all the photos you want to upload (upto five).
  3. Your photos need to be in JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) or GIF (.gif) format, and the size of each picture must not exceed 7 MB.
  4. Click on the 'Upload' button under the form fields.
  5. Once you photos are uploaded, you will be taken to your 'Photos' page and your newly created or existing album(s) will be displayed.

How can I upload more than five photos at a time?

You can upload multiple photos using the Batch Uploader. There is a Flash version which runs on Internet Explorer as well as Mozilla based browsers such as Firefox. There is also an ActiveX version which works only with Internet Explorer 5.5 and above.

  1. If you do not have the Batch Uploader installed you will be directed to the Single Image Upload page upon clicking on the 'Upload' button on the 'Photos' page.
  2. Click on the link 'Want easier uploading? Use our Batch Uploader'.
  3. Please go through the process involved in installing the Batch Uploader as per the instructions shown.
  4. After the Batch Uploader is installed, you can add a set of images by clicking on the 'Add Files' button. In the ActiveX version, you can also drag and drop files into the uploader window, and add a folder by clicking on the 'Add Folders' button.
  5. Specify a new or existing album for uploading photos. By default, your photos will be uploaded to an album called 'New Album'.
  6. Your photos need to be in JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) or GIF (.gif) format, and the size of each picture must not exceed 7 MB.
  7. Once you have selected all the photos you want, click on the 'Upload' button.
  8. When all the images are uploaded a confirmation message is displayed and you are redirected to your 'Photos' page.

How long will it take to upload my digital photos?

Uploading time will vary, depending on your internet connection speed and the site traffic. Generally the uploading of a picture taken from a 3 megapixel camera (usually 1 mb in size) will take less than 2 minutes on a 128 kbps internet connection.
